Valdir Estevam holds a PhD in Petroleum Sciences and Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2002). He served as a Senior Petroleum Engineering Consultant at Petrobras in Rio de Janeiro until March 2017. Since August 2017, he has been working as a professor and collaborator researcher at UNICAMP. He has experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Petroleum Engineering, primarily working on the following topics: centrifugal pumps, gas-liquid two-phase flow, numerical simulation, and submersible centrifugal pumping. Currently, as a collaborator professor at UNICAMP, he teaches courses such as BCSS Systems, Nodal Analysis in Petroleum, Subsea Pumping Systems, Petroleum Production and Artificial Lift Engineering, and Fundamentals of Flow Assurance in Petroleum for master's and doctoral students in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on petroleum.
