Gabriel Cirac Mendes Souza

Abstract

Gabriel Cirac Mendes Souza is an Artificial Intelligence Postdoctoral Researcher at Recod.ai, University of Campinas, in partnership with EPIC. He holds a Ph.D. and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Science and Technology, respectively, from the Federal University of Itajubá, where he also studied Computer Engineering and participated in the Science without Borders program at the University of Porto, Portugal. He contributes to EPIC by leading innovative solutions that combine data from injector systems and production wells, enhancing long-term forecasting and reservoir management techniques.

Research Line: focuses on the development of hybrid models for reservoir management, integrating Machine Learning and physics-based neural networks to optimize production and sustainability.
