Paulo Henrique Ranazzi is a postdoctoral researcher at EPIC. His research interests include data assimilation, inverse problems, generative models, GAN inversion. Paulo completed his bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering at Universidade Santa Cecília in 2013, his master's degree in the Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering at the University of São Paulo in 2019, and his PhD at the University of São Paulo in 2023, in partnership with EPIC, where he developed novel parameterization and localization techniques for ensemble-based data assimilation applied in carbonate reservoirs.
Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at EPIC, his research focuses on reducing the effect of spurious correlations in data assimilation.
