Guilherme P. Coelho is a Senior Member (2018) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2011) from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Technology (FT) at UNICAMP, where he is involved in teaching, research, and extension activities. He has experience and interest in the field of Computational Intelligence, focusing primarily on bioinspired computation, optimization (single and multi-objective), and machine learning (particularly artificial neural networks, ensembles, and data clustering).

At EPIC, he coordinates the Education and Knowledge Dissemination activities and conducts research related to optimization and the application of machine learning to oil field development.
